AnthroDesk Sliding Standing Desk Converter Review

AnthroDesk Sliding Standing Desk Converter Review

Do you work in an office or maybe from home on your computer? Either way, if you spend a lot of time at a desk every day, you should seriously consider looking into the AnthroDesk Sliding Standing Desk Converter!

Here I will be talking about the Cherry Sliding Standing Desk Converter that I received in the mail last week.

Watch the video below to see how easy it is to put together and listen to my review of it. Or scroll further down and you can read about it!

First Impressions

When I first heard of the idea of AnthroDesk Converter’s, I was very interested and loved the idea. I spend a lot of time on my computer editing videos, writing articles, answering emails, and spending time on social media so naturally, my back gets a bit sore. Being able to stand and continue working on my computer sounded like a fantastic idea.

I also really liked that it is a Canadian company. Being a Canadian artist, I was happy to be able to support a Canadian company!

The desk converter arrived at the end of last week and I was happy to feel that the box was heavy, this meant it was of quality and wouldn’t be flimsy.

As you saw in the video above, the converter was packaged very well and it was easy to open and take out.

Overall, my first impressions were high.

Assembly

Everything that was needed to assemble the Cherry Sliding Standing Desk Converter was in the box. All of the parts are of high quality. I really liked how the screws came with the Allen key that was needed so I didn’t have to go look in the toolbox for the right size key.

The assembly literally took 10 minutes. The instruction page was easy to follow and had good diagrams. You can watch the video where I put it together and see how easy it is!

Review

After putting it together and testing it out, I think this is a wise investment for anyone who works at a desk for the majority of the workday.

The base is solid and won’t easily be moved around. The support arm that can be placed under the moving tier would be useful when putting heavy things on the platform. I will most likely only have my laptop or paints on it so the support arm won’t be needed. The clips to move the platform are easily loosened and tightened for quick adjustment. And best of all, it would fit on pretty much any desk or table you’re working on!

This model of the converter desk comes with the base and one moving tier. The tier is plenty big for my laptop (a 13-inch Macbook Air) but could easily fit laptops up to 17-inches. There is plenty of space for a mouse as well. I will find this space useful to be able to have my palette on one tier and my paints/brushes/water on the other. This way I can have everything I need at arms reach and right in front of me.

For smaller pieces of art, I use a desk and this converter will allow me to continue working even if I want to stand a little bit. I have been doing some wood burning mixed media pieces so I also need a place to put the wood-burning iron and this desk converter will give me the space needed. Being able to have everything in front of me and being able to sit or stand while working will definitely increase my productivity.

There is another model in the color black that has the base plus two tiers. The top tier is smaller and would be good if you have a monitor that can be on top and then a keyboard on the middle tier. Since I use a laptop, I thought the cherry model was a better fit for me.

Final Thoughts

Definitely worth it.
